4th Sunday of Easter Year B

Reading 1: Acts 4:8-12; Reading 2: 1John 3:1-2; Gospel: John 1:11-18
Adults: In what ways have I “heard” the voice of the Good Shepherd?
Children: What qualities come to my mind when I think about Jesus as the Good Shepherd?
“No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own.”
What does this statement say to you about following rules? How does it relate to freedom of choice and obligation? Is there a connection in this statement between love and motivation?
Can you understand why it is easy for Jesus to make this statement? What keeps you, as a disciple, from making this statement?
What do you understand by the statement “I am the good shepherd,…and I will lay down my life for the sheep”
